Furniture Matters

Furniture Matters is a reuse, recycling and training charity/social enterprise based in Morecambe operating throughout the North West.

Furniture Matters collects and refurbishes unwanted white goods, furniture, IT, bicycles, office furniture and paint. The refurbished items are sold at reasonable prices to local people and local businesses. Whilst providing this service they deliver a host of accredited training to volunteers.

They have contracts throughout the North West with local authorities, leisure companies, educational establishments and the wider business community for waste management with the focus being on avoidance of landfill through reuse and recycling, In other words they turn waste to a resource to benefit the local community.

Furniture Matters provide accredited training and offer volunteering opportunities to people currently out of work and those in it with time to spare who want to make a difference.
