ICT Cluster Groups
The Knowledge Business Centre has developed a special relationship with all the ICT clusters in the region.
It supports the region's ICT Cluster Group - a network of local businesses that is supported by Business Link North West, local Councils, local Chambers of Commerce, Lancashire Economic Partnership and the Northwest Regional Development Agency.
Six Cluster Groups in the region are now set up and running and meet once per month. The groups are: Lancaster, Preston, West Lancs, Blackpool & Fylde, East Lancs and Kendal. If you are interested in applying for any of the Steering Groups or would like to attend the Clusters please email Business Development Officers Nick or Colin.

Cluster Benefits
“We are working very hard to support the roll-out of the clusters across Lancashire. It provides a great opportunity for knowledge to transfer out from the Higher Education Institutions into the business community and we can help ICT and New Media companies access the services that will allow them to benefit from this.”
Steve Riches, Director of the Knowledge Business Centre, InfoLab21.
"Businesses are finding they are better equipped to take advantage of market trends and the latest developments through working with other companies, institutions such as Lancaster University, service providers and educational establishments where they share best practice and knowledge."
Sue Denver, ICT Adviser at Business Link Northwest
"With the KBC we have found like-minded individuals that share and support our goals"
Lee Conroy, owner of Akamai Tech
