Schools Programme
The Academic departments within InfoLab21 are working together to develop a combined programme of events for schools to promote relationships with schools in the community, and attract students into ICT careers.
Opportunites include:
- Visits where schools come on 'Taster Days' to see what kind of courses are on offer at the University and experience some of the activities first hand.
- Talks in schools where a department representative will come and talk to prospective students and answer questions to help them decide whether they want to go on to study at InfoLab21.
- Teachers' Days - events to keep teachers informed about what is available and how they can encourage students into the ICT sector.
We hope that interaction with InfoLab21 will help to promote ICT in schools, improve access and encourage more students to get involved.
