The company was set up with support from the University's Lancaster Business Creation (LBC) project which was created to assist University and local entrepreneurs to launch their business ideas into operating technology-based companies.
Run by Dr Paul Coulton and Dr Reuben Edwards of InfoLab21's Communication Systems Department, the company's existing portfolio of applications includes mobile game development, mobile commerce applications, mobile security research, mobile information services and mobile telemetrics.
InfoLab21 develops many commercially exploitable applications for the mobile industry and the company provides a vehicle to focus on the exploitation of these applications. M-Ventions can also offer consultancy services to companies wishing to develop mobile games and applications and those wishing to protect themselves from mobile threats.
