A Digital Communications KTN event delivered in association with InfoLab21's Technology Matters events. This will focus on looking at Collaborative Funding and Partnering opportunities in the Digital & Creative Industries Sector.
InfoLab21 is playing a key role in the drive to promote innovation in the UK digital communications sector. Lancaster University is one of only two Universities on the board of the government-funded national Digital Communications Knowledge Transfer Network (DC-KTN).
InfoLab21 academics are sharing their expertise with SMEs on the new Innovation Voucher scheme. The Innovation Voucher scheme aims to support Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in engaging with the knowledge base (Further and Higher Education Institutions and the wider public sector), with the aim of helping SMEs increase productivity and/or competitiveness.
HighWire is a collaboration between Computing, Design and Management at Lancaster University with the emphasis on producing a new breed of innovative people to advance the state of the art in technical, design and business innovation. Aligning with the needs of business and industry, it will build on InfoLab21's technology exchange initiative to seek a more value-added and marketable pathway from the digital laboratory to the marketplace. A recruitment event is taking place on 11th March.
Children in a town affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster will talk to pupils in England in a "TV" broadcast using wireless broadband installed by Lancaster University. InfoLab21 experts from the Department of Communication Systems have helped in this project which is part of a £750,000 Government programme to regenerate the area affected by the disaster.
Kinetic Cubed, specialist business development consultancy and resident company at InfoLab21, has expanded its presence in India by opening an office in the central business district of Mumbai, adding to its existing presence in New Delhi.
InfoLab21 resident company 15secondTV is powering a global online viral marketing campaign for the new Street Fighter IV game. You can upload your own photo and star in your own Street Fighter clip.
NetPlay TV plc, former resident of InfoLab21, has launched its own 24 hour Freeview Channel. The first interactive gaming company to secure a dedicated Freeview channel, NetPlay TV is broadcasting its services on Freeview Channel 48.
CITIN (Creative Industries Technology and Innovation Network) is pleased to announce its Partnering For Innovation programme of one-day events, taking place across the UK during February and March this year. The North West event will be at Liverpool on Tuesday 10th March, 0930-1800 at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology).
