Back by popular demand, the ‘Accelerator Programme’ is now being run in Merseyside on the topic of Social Media Technologies. Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, You Tube, the use of video, strategy, implementation and the technologies behind social media will be covered by a variety of specialist presenters. Companies interested in attending the Accelerator Programme should register their interest with Carolyn Hayes (c.hayes2@lancaster.ac.uk).

Researchers at InfoLab21 have been using touch screen technology to help give teenagers more of a say in community life.
Mum and business woman Sarah Cooper, founder of resident company Black Zest Solutions, has been listed in the top 100 mumpreneurs of 2011. Sarah is currently running some free marketing events at InfoLab21.
The Brunch Bytes series of technical briefings had proven extremely popular over the last 12 months, with many events being fully booked. Brunch Bytes will come to a close after Spring 2012, with only 10 places remaining.

Invitation for proposals: The Technology Strategy Board and EPSRC are to invest up to £6m in collaborative research and development that stimulates innovation in manufacturing. This is a two-stage competition. The deadline for registration is at noon on 22 February 2012.
