Praise For The Graduate Academy

The first graduates to leave InfoLab21's Graduate Academy (IGA) have been presented with certificates at InfoLab21. The IGA - the only one in the North West for ICT graduates - provides free ICT support for eligible technology led businesses.

InfoLab21 Researchers At Westminster

After helping bring about an IT revolution in a rural community, InfoLab21 computing researchers Johnathan Ishmael and Dr. Nick Race are set to present their work in the House of Commons on March 19 as part of SET for Britain - an annual event showcasing the work of Britain's top early-stage research scientists, engineers and technologists.

Opportunities For Employers

Lancaster University Management School are providing a valuable opportunity for employers who can employ a student for a fixed period of time to work on a particular project or activity of importance and use to the business. Previously, some employers have also used this experience to see whether a student is suitable for recruitment on graduation.

 

The InfoLab21 Graduate Academy also offers opportunities for employers through assistance with ICT projects.

Researchers at InfoLab21 are working on the next generation of embedded systems which will help give computers a powerful new presence in our lives.

InfoLab21 Scientist Joins NASA Mission To Understand Space Storms

Dr. Jim Wild from the Department of Communication Systems is to play a key role in a NASA mission which will help scientists study the mysteries of the Northern Lights or aurora borealis, the spectacularly colourful glow in the sky at the North Pole as energy from the sun hits the Earth's magnetic field.

InfoLab21 Student Founds Worldwide Business

A computer science student who set up his own online music business with help from Lancaster University is now running a successful company with customers from as far away as New Zealand.
