InfoLab21 resident company Kinetic Cubed has been selected by the North West Development Agency as one of the few private sector Knowledge Providers for the newly launched Innovation Voucher Scheme. This scheme offers vouchers to companies, up to the value of £3000, which can then be used to access expertise through one of the selected knowledge providers in the region, to achieve their goals.
InfoLab21 resident NuBlue are continuing a steady stream of achievements and have further expanded into an extra office in the Knowledge Business Centre. 2008 has been a year of exciting growth for NuBlue, with the company expanding to a 6-strong team and winning contracts from clients such as SHS International and the NHS, it has also seen their Web Hosting team expand from part of the Web Design service to a fully fledged, award winning department in its own right.
An awards event to celebrate the successes of the InfoLab21 Graduate Academy and the InfoLab21 Student Academy brought together businesses that had benefited from the Academies, InfoLab21 staff and past and present members of the academies. Academy members were presented with certificates by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Paul Wellings. The event has been documented in the new gallery section of our website.
A new website www.lcictcluster.org has been created to provide a unique central resource for the region's technology led businesses. The new site provides an overview of the six current ICT cluster groups in Lancashire and Cumbria, which are free to join. Check the website for upcoming meetings.
