Big Money Funding Call Announced
Creative industries across the UK are being invited to compete for a share of £18m in a funding competition organised by the Technology Strategy Board to develop innovative technologies that could create new growth areas for the UK economy.
Collaborative applications are sought from organisations operating in a range of technology areas where the UK already has considerable strengths;
- Advanced Materials
- Biosciences
- Electronics, Photonics & Electrical Systems
- High Value Manufacturing
- Information and Communications Technology
- Nanotechnology
The TSB is keen to involve companies who will produce "enabling technologies," ones that can lead to the creation of other products and processes that support future development.
The competition opens on October 12 and aims to attract innovations from a variety of businesses with novel ideas that have reached proof-of-concept stage.
