Over 120 Companies Benefit from Brunch Bytes Series
Brunch Bytes at Daresbury
InfoLab21's Bruch Bytes series of technical briefings has now come to a close following twenty-two events, benefitting over 120 companies that attended.
The series took place over 15 months at InfoLab21 and Daresbury Science and Innovation Campus.
High praise has been received from delegates who attended.
David Batty of Sector Software praised the whole series;
'Having attended all eleven topics included in the Brunch Bytes series I found that every one of the talks was from a specialist in their field, that the information provided, and the events themselves, were of the highest quality. I cannot recommend these sessions enough to anyone looking to improve their knowledge of technology and the research surrounding the subjects presented.'
Specialist academics from Lancaster University's School of Computing and Communications presented on eleven topics covering; Mobile Contactless Technology, Next Steps in Social Media, Gamification-Transforming Work into Play, IPTV & 2nd Screen, Augmented Reality, Gesture Based Computing, Utilising Location Based Services, The Mobile Wallet, Social Media Analysis, Tablet Devices and the Internet of Things and Interactive Tables and Surfaces.
Coming Soon
A further 3 part Brunch Bytes series will be run in Greater Manchester later in the year on a topic to be confirmed. These events will be aimed at digital and creative companies who have not previously benefitted from the programme.
Plus a more comprehensive selection of Brunch Bytes events will be scheduled for 2013 which will be open to all digital and creative companies. Watch this space!
