And The Lancaster Award Goes To....

Seven students from the School of Computing and Communications have successfully completed the Lancaster Award.

The annual Lancaster Award ceremony took place on 14 June in the LICA building where the Award recipients, their families, friends and employers joined CEEC and other University staff to celebrate their success.

The seven SCC Students are:

  • Matthew Michael Newton
  • Helen Close
  • William Anthony Twiname
  • Charlie Entwistle
  • Chirag Gude
  • Prudhvi Sreerama
  • John Ritchie McGathan

The Lancaster Award is run every year by the Centre for Enterprise, Employability and Careers (CEEC). Those wishing to complete the award must demonstrate that they have completed 6 different activities over 4 areas: work experience, employability/ career development, campus community and social development and an additional skill during their period of study at Lancaster.

In an increasingly competitive graduate job market, the Lancaster Award helps distinguish students from their competitors. The award is a great way to collate all of the student's achievements to date and to highlight those areas for improvement.

Students are strongly encouraged to participate in next year's awards. To find out how to please go to the website below.
