ICT Focus Launches 'Ethical Hacking' Course
ICT Focus is set to become an approved training centre for the EC Council's Certified Ethical Hacker training and will be delivering the first course in InfoLab21 in July 2006. As such they will be one of only 8 centres in the UK currently allowed to deliver the course and the only one in the North-West.
The 5-day CEH course, aimed at security auditors, IT security professionals, systems administrators (or anyone who is concerned about the integrity of the network infrastructure) differs from most security courses in that it teaches how to defend networks and systems against hacking by looking in depth at how hackers work.
Rather than focussing on security audits, the course gives plenty of hands-on experience of attacking systems. By immersing the delegates in the tools and tricks of the 'hacking' trade, they learn how to secure their systems and networks against them. The intensive course covers over 300 tools in some detail, and delegates can go on to join a world-wide community of 'Ethical Hackers' and keep up to date with the latest tools and technologies.
