InfoLab21 is working with a number of organisations across Lancashire to support the development of the ICT/New Media growth sector.

ICT Cluster groups have been set up in Lancaster, Blackpool and Fylde, Preston, East Lancashire and West Lancashire. The aim of the clusters is to strengthen the digital and new media sector of the Lancashire Economy.

At these networking events, speakers often present ideas on specific services to the groups. Other speakers at recent meetings have included, Business Coach, Linda Merrills shared ideas on effective marketing, Glen Joyce from 'Best of Preston' presented an on-line business directory service, and KPMG's Rebecca Murdock talked about claiming R&D tax relief.

Private sector companies involved benefit from networking opportunities, capacity sharing, joint working and, from the links with InfoLab21 and other University projects, providing invaluable resources for research and technology transfer.
