InfoLab21 resident Web Agency NuBlue are continuing a steady stream of achievements and have further expanded into an extra office in the Knowledge Business Centre.

2008 has been a year of exciting growth for NuBlue, with the company expanding to a 6-strong team and winning contracts from clients such as SHS International (a sister company of Danone) and the NHS, it has also seen their Web Hosting team expand from part of the Web Design service to a fully fledged, award winning department in its own right.

This year they have won an International Media Award and been finalists for the Web Hosting category of the Fresh: Digital Awards.

NuBlue started life in the summer of 2005 in a small office in the Knowledge Business Centre. From relatively quiet beginnings as a fledgling web design agency run by its co-founders, Tom and Michael Ashworth, NuBlue now occupy two offices with a rapidly expanding workforce of 9 staff.

NuBlue's Ewan MacLeod told us what it means to the business to be located in InfoLab21:

"From the outset, the working environment has been a massive help to the company. With a strong network infrastructure and a supportive management team, all the resources have been in place to allow NuBlue to grow our business without worrying about our facilities. The location of InfoLab21 has also proven to be highly attractive, with an excellent cafeteria on the premises, and plenty of local resources on the University campus (including several gyms, a multitude of shops and restaurants, banks, post offices and even a hair dresser!) - the proximity to the motorway has also made meeting important clients that much easier.

"As NuBlue have expanded, so have our space requirements, and these demands have been met at all points - through upgrades to larger offices, and now moving part of the company into a second office next door (which will be NuBlue's fourth office so far!). During this move, a connecting door has been installed between the offices and the water cooler has now been plumbed into the main office - making the move into a two office environment a far more pleasant experience, and allowing the company to remain as a team rather than splitting into two separate departments! We can only hope the InfoLab21 team are as understanding when we need 3 offices!"
