Resident Company Completes Major Study For UKTI

InfoLab21 resident company, Kinetic Cubed has recently completed a major piece of research for UK Trade & Investment's Advanced Engineering sector in Russia.

The study was led by Mark Beresford and a team of Russian and engineering specialists, including Steve Truswell, (STA Consulting), one of Kinetic Cubed's specialist associates.

The study identified business opportunities on a cross-sectoral basis by investigating the engineering technologies, products, processes and skills that are most required in Russia today.

In terms of measurable impact, it provided new findings and key recommendations as to how UKTI can best support UK based Advanced Engineering companies to achieve business success in Russia.

For the purposes of the report, Advanced Engineering sectors that were covered included civil aerospace, automotive, mining equipment and services, engineering (comprising of mechanical, electrical and process engineering, manufacturing technologies and specialist machinery, metals, minerals and metallurgical process plant).

Phil Bales, UKTI's Advanced Engineering Automotive Manager said,

"Kinetic Cubed has done a good, detailed study that satisfies the study brief, and produced a good report, which reads well. Please convey my thanks to all the team for a job well done".

The Kinetic team has recently spoken at Advanced Engineering dissemination events in Manchester and Loughborough and are planning more interventions in 2010.
