BBC IPTV Innovation Workshop
The BBC is seeking innovative, practical solutions to emerging interface design issues around interactive TV with the aim of commissioning new products/services.
As part of this process Lancaster University (through the creative research lab ImaginationLancaster) is facilitating a one-day workshop in early July (date tbc) that brings together senior researchers and developers at BBC R&D North with a range of small companies to explore this area.
The aim of this is to help the BBC articulate what it is looking for in proposals in this area, to demonstrate the state of the art within the BBC but also to explore new collaborative ideas for products and services in this area.
We are looking for business participants from across a wide range of experience, not just the TV sector with a strong track record in areas including:
- Interface design
- Analysis and documentation of user journeys
- Modes of interaction with digital media and TV on demand Innovative and effective ways to gain insight into user experiences
- Knowledge about digital media and TV
- User research
- Expertise in designing information architecture>/li>
