Ian left the IGA in March 2011 to work for AutoTrader.

Qualifications:

• BSC (Hons) Computing: Software Engineering (University of Central Lancashire, 2009)

Skills:

• Website design and creation based around XHTML and CSS
• Online applications using PHP/MySQL
• Software engineering using object orientated languages such as C, C++, Objective C and Java.
• ICT hardware and software diagnostics.

I am strongly interested in further developing my skills into web based applications and different programming languages.

At the IGA:

• Jam Publications – www.thedirectory-online.co.uk – website design and custom content management system for multiple website handling and editing.
• Simply Good Taste iPhone app – an iPhone application with reusability for showing 20 recipes from celebrity chef Peter Sidwell as well as having the ability to share information on social networking sites, buy products used by Peter himself and play videos of him cooking the recipes provided. The entire app is reusable so can be re-skinned with different recipes for multiple releases.
• Food Safety Direct strategy report – A report written to help Food Safety Direct streamline their business and help them improve of certain aspects of their work such as e-commerce and back up strategies.

Outside of the IGA:

• Green Age Solutions – www.greenagesolutions.co.uk – ecommerce website with content management system for a renewable energy company based in Oldham.
• Kfit Plumbing – www.kfit.biz – website design and content management system for a plumber based in Southport.

Personal Information:

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time so far at the IGA and feel I have had the time and opportunity to develop my knowledge and skills further as well as gaining important client relationship experience and project management training along the way. I feel that my time here will give me the experience needed to help me further my career path.
