Personal Information:
I graduated from Covenant University in Nigeria where I studied B.Eng Computer Engineering as my first degree. During my undergraduate studies I worked as a technical security specialist in Mobil Producing Nigeria (a subsidiary of Exxon Mobil) where I worked on security and safety systems ranging from intrusion systems, CCTVs and fire alarm systems. I decided to further my studies in 2008 by embarking on a masters degree in MSc Internet Computing & Network Security at Loughborough University, U.K. in order to gain more knowledge, develop more skills and build up my competence in the I.T. I successfully developed a mobile fingerprint identification application for my master’s project.
I have definitely enjoyed my stay at the Graduate Academy and my experience here has been worthwhile. I came into the team with no experience but the drive to develop numerous technical skills and gain some versatility in various aspects of I.T. The environment was not only friendly but also encouraging. The support I got from members of staff is definitely priceless. I feel fulfilled that my career now has a good foundation. I have been able to secure a role in BT Expedite (a division of British Telecomms) as a Support Analyst and I look forward to working on database systems, SQL servers and merchandising systems.
