'Constant vigilance and high-level commitment' an organisation's best defence against cyberattacks
Security Lancaster's Professor Awais Rashid has been featured in the Institute of Financial Services School of Finance's monthly journal, Financial World. In the article he warns that that an organisation's only defence against cyberattacks is constant vigilance and commitment at board level.
He comments "while the internet opens up a range of new business opportunities and ways to access customers, it also exposes a large attack surface for cyberthreats. Any organisation that uses the internet is vulnerable," and explains some of these threats and latest trends in cyberattacks in the article.
Professor Rashid is director of Security Lancaster, an EPSRC-GCHQ Academic Centre of Excellence in Cyber Security Research.
