New Database of Women Scientists

Plans to launch a new type of online database that will help to raise the profile of thousands of women scientists and engineers in the UK have been announced by the national agency that is working to improve the participation and progression of women in science careers.

The database is being developed by the Government backed UK Resource Centre (UKRC) for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology. Its aim is to raise the visibility of all women in scientific careers by encouraging greater awareness about the diverse contribution that they are making at all levels across science, engineering and technology related occupations.
