New Business Support Website for Lancashire
Led by the Lancashire Economic Partnership (LEP), a new business support website has been launched supported by local authorities, leading businesses from the private sector and business support providers across Lancashire.
Promoting Lancashire as a prime business investment location, www.makeitlancashire.com is a free, independent information source for businesses across Lancashire; offering directories of accessible funding, business support and commercial property.
The site offers direct contact details for business support across all of Lancashire's local authorities and information about Lancashire's business and economy, skills pool, communications infrastructure and illustrates key sectors within the sub-region. Information on how Lancashire is moving forward at a strategic level - highlighting key priorities for Lancashire's economic development is also provided.
County Councillor Hazel Harding, Chair of the Lancashire Economic Partnership said;
"Lancashire is a unique investment proposition. Its network of urban centres is set within an outstanding natural environment that takes in coast, city and countryside. It is one of the largest economies in the North and contains the single largest concentration of advanced manufacturing outside the South East.
"In my opinion it is a fantastic place to live and work. Businesses that relocate here can be assured that they will be well supported and will want to stay."
Dennis Taylor, Chief Executive of the Lancashire Economic Partnership said;
"The website is a fantastic source of information for any business - large or small. The service provides comprehensive and completely independent information and advice, which will undoubtedly help any business. We are proud to offer a service that will clearly map out support available to businesses that choose to be based within the sub-region."
